The Lab Pak version of Quiz Master™ consists of 2 separate programs. The Examiner's Station software installed on any PC on the LAN, and the Student Station software installed on the rest of the LAN PCs. The Examiners Station program is used to create the exam and distribute it to the lab stations, and the student program is used by the student to take the exam.

Examiners Station Features

  • Make up an exam in seconds, selecting questions randomly or manually by category. Can produce a 100-question exam with a singe selection.
  • Contains the same print features of Quiz Master Professional Edition so the examiner can print exams for other instructors not able to use the lab, or for taking via the Internet.
  • Supports Multiple Choice, Essay, Fill-in, Matching and True/False type questions.
  • Questions can be shuffled a different order on the same exam.
  • Multiple Choice Distracters can be scrambled (same exam different answer sets).
  • Full Question Bank Editor included that allows you to create/edit your own question banks.
  • Enter allotted time and title for the exam.
  • All figures and drawings are shown on-screen. Supports all graphic types such as math formulas, bitmaps, jpegs, gifs which are easily attached to the question bank. Can also use sound, music, or video to give a question or to explain the answer.
  • For study periods, the examiner can set the exam option to show results as the student is taking the exam.

Student Station Features

  • Timer warns student with color codes and warnings when allotted time is close at hand.
  • On-screen Windows Calculator. This calculator, supplied by MS Windows, can be set for normal or scientific calculations.
  • Students can skip questions that are marked with a checkmark making it easy to find on the list.
  • Student answers the question by pointing and clicking on the multiple choice answer. Essay questions are answered in a text area.
  • Exam is graded by the computer and shows the results by category on both the screen or a printed copy.
  • Students can review the exam, which displays their answers, explanations and references. The right and wrong answers appear on two different lists, allowing them to easily pick one for review.
  • Exam can be saved to a floppy disk, for review at a later date.
  • Operation Manual and Help is on screen, no hard copy manual needed.

Hardware Requirements

Quiz Master Lab Pack works under Windows: Win'9x. , 2000, NT. Sound card recommended if you wish to use multimedia for student exams. LAN system software must be Windows compatible.
