The Great Adventures of the Yamaha Viking VI
12-Jan-22

This ride started out with collecting Apache Tears and Geodes and ended up to be an amazing tour around Black Butte mountain. After the rock collecting we went to the Sambo Aguila mine, then another road lead us to a water hole to the West of the Black Butte. Then we found a very rough and rocky road that went clear around the mountain and back to the Aguila road. The circle can be seen clearly on the map above.

We arrive at the Sambo Aguila Mine.

Concrete remnants of an active mine. Lot's of debris scattered around.

The shaft was just back of the concrete pads. Panaramic view to the West.

There are piles of overburden in every direction.

We picked the next road going to the east and ended up at a cattle watering area. A historic feeding station.

A discarded metal watering trough. You can see why, there's a hole in it.
