15-Mar-22

Group:
  1. Yamaha Viking VI: Gary Eisert, JH Sheridan and Brian
  2. Wild Cat 4 Seater: Mark, Greta and Pepper Sheridan
  3. Polaris General 2 Seater: Mike and Debby Gruenthaner

Mark and Greta's son J.H. and nephew Brian were here for a visit. The group decided to take them for a trip up Dushey canyon and visit some of the old mines.

Just through the fence we got a surprise fly-by from a fellow Eagle Roost pilot.

We traveled southeast for a while and stopped at an unknown mine at the end of the road.

Mine shafts have been filled in.

Remains of the old stone cabin where the miners lived.

Our next stop was the stone corral.
This must have been one hell of a job to build this stone corral. Heres a strange cactus ! It's a guy running up the hill !

We had to take the long way around because the road was washed out and we lunched at the windmill.
On the way out there is a mine shaft right beside the road.
Brian and JH checking it out. The shaft has been filled in over the years and is about 30 feet deep.
