The Great Adventures of the Yamaha Viking VI
22-Apr-22

Group:
  1. Yamaha Viking VI: Gary and Gnettie Eisert, Jacky Ohligs
  2. Cam/Am: Doug Schmit and Glenda
The was Jacky's first trip into the desert, and Doug and Glenda are just getting started desert exploring.
Dennnis Huwe and I are designing a good route to take for people who have never been out in the desert to have a great experience.
We started out skirting the mountains to the south west, explored a mine, then to the stone cabins, Purple Pansy mine, the aircraft crash site then headed home via the Aguila Road.

This mine is up on the side of the mountain to the north of the little stone cabins.
Doug and Glenda Exploring the mine.
Doug & Glenda's CanAm.

The back side of Eagle Eye mountain.

The eastern stone cabin. Imagine for a moment collecting all these rocks and building this structure.

Wonder what tall tails were told in front of this fireplace. The little cabin to the east.

Across the wash to the south are the water tanks and troughs. Off the road to the north is a grave site. I practised my dowsing and found out there is a body there but the head end is not at the cross.
