29-Apr-22

Group:
  1. Yamaha Viking VI: Gary and Gnettie Eisert
  2. CanAm: Doug & Glenda
We headed up to the lower Bullard Mine so Glenda could do some rock hounding for blue rocks.
We arrive ! I parked right next to the deep hole. The deep hole. If you go to the wash to the south there is a tunnel entrance allowing access to the mine.

Doug exploring the area. Glenda rock hounding.

From the lower Bullard Mine we ventured over to where they melted down the ore to extract the copper.
Lots of glassy slag. Beautiful patterns in the slag.

Glenda & Gnettie collecting slag for Glenda's mock up of Eagle Eye Mountain.

Glenda's work in progress, a miniature of Eagle Eye mountain.

From the slag area we lunched at the stone mining office.
What's left of the old stone mining office.
